“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God” – Romans 15:7
We talk a lot about welcoming” in our church and we try – albeit imperfectly – to welcome all. But what does it look like to think of God “welcoming” us? For me, it brings to mind the old hymn, “Just As I Am,” which reminds us that God loves and accepts us not because of who we are or what we have done, but because of who God is. And that’s good news for us!
