Music

Music is a vital part of our worship service, and there are many opportunities for participation. Adults and teenagers can participate in the Chancel Choir.  No experience necessary — just enthusiasm and the ability to count!

With Fall semester in full swing, it’s time for choir rehearsals to start back up! My name is Josh Dufford and it is my privilege to serve as your choir director for the upcoming year. While I continue to get familiar with names and faces of those who attend the church, I also wish to extend an open invitation to anyone who has an interest in singing with the Chancel Choir this year.

The group rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 PM in the choir room of the church. No previous experience with reading music or singing in choirs is necessary. The purpose of the Chancel Choir is to use our gifts and love of music to glorify God and to create an atmosphere in worship that allows others to do the same. In my experience, those who have joined choir have often found a greater sense of community and purpose within the life of the church. Rehearsals are light-hearted and fun in the latter half of the week, you’re sure to walk away on Thursday evenings feeling energized and uplifted! We strive to make great music for the glory of the Lord and to have fun sharing in each other’s fellowship as we do it.

If you have any questions about the choir or want to get in touch, feel free to email me at dufford.joshua@gmail.com or call me at 614-570-2031. If you would like to join the choir or would simply like to attend one of our rehearsals to see if it’s a good fit for you, please attend ANY of our Thursday evening rehearsals starting on August 30th.

I am greatly looking forward to meeting all of you this year!

Blessings,

Josh Dufford
