3rd Annual International Students’ Thanksgiving Event

The 3rd Annual International Students’ Thanksgiving Event will be hosted at the First Presbyterian Church Bowling Green Fellowship Hall on Friday 29th November from 1 pm to 4 pm (the day after Thanksgiving) This event was created to promote inclusion and also address a concern with International Student’s on Campus.

It was observed that on the Thanksgiving weekend at BGSU left many international students alone on campus. O’Leo Loki an international Student and Chair of the Outreach committee saw a need to create a space to promote community spirit and fulfill that need of belonging most international students struggle with at the university. This was also seen as an opportunity to promote the many inclusive activities of the church. Since then, we have had students be a part of the community garden project and use the deacon shop. This year along with the outreach committee, we are looking to follow in the success of last year which hosted a meal with Est. 46 students along with members of the church.

The event this year will take the form of a Thanksgiving themed dinner and special activities in the evening.

Any member willing to help can sign up for the following:

  • Transportation services-To and from BGSU at 12:30 pm and at 4:30 pm.
  • Cooking – Help prepare the meal at the venue.
  • Potluck Contribution-bring or donate a dish.
